“There’s almost this social anxiety about women being too strong, but that’s the actual reality. And I don’t know if I have a smart way of putting it, but it’s just absolutely natural. Women are able to deal with situations very calmly and are still able to have a lot of strength. And that’s really what The Walking Dead has been able to portray that even in the moments when we can be emotional, we’re emotional to vent something, so that we can then proceed and pursue the task that’s ahead. With some of the men in the show, you’ve seen how emotionally locked they have become, and they end up really losing the plot.”
