Oh I just want to take you by your head and smooch you all over your face. You’re right, it’s not whiny or childish… but it is unrealistic. There are some things in society that are unfair and need changing, but in general life is incredibly unfair and part of being an adult is learning to accept that. Life will kick you when you’re down. Bad things will happen to good people for no reason and vice versa. The correct response isn’t “grow up” but rather “yes, life is unfair” it’s a sad truth.
