HOW TO FIX PHOTOSHOP CS6 AUTO SHARPEN ON RESIZING
if you are using photoshop cs6, you will probably have noticed that it kind of auto sharpens images when you resize. this is something i especially notice with screencaps in picspams, but it does this to all images to some extent.
this is probably the #1 complaint i see by people when they upgrade to cs6, which is an otherwise great version of photoshop because, on top of the usual features, it saves your progress in case of crashes (!!!).
and the solution is ridiculously simple. all you have to do is go to edit > preferences > general and change image interpolation to bicubic (best for smooth gradients). that is literally it. just click ok and you are done.
after that, i suggest closing photoshop properly because if it crashes or you force close it, the changes won’t be preserved for future use.
